So, I found this cute poem template online and just had to try it out!

I wonder why I was born into this life
I hear men and women hissing and whispering like cats
I see my grandmother following me
I want her back alive again

I pretend to play hide and seek sometimes
I feel mournful and melancholy
I touch the ocean’s tears sometimes
I worry that her ashes didn’t reach heaven
I cry when I realize she is stuck watching over me
I am wistful and eccentric

I understand that I need to not get my hopes up
I say that when life gives you lemons, you don’t have to make lemonade
I dream to realize why I am still alive
I try to understand why she follows me wherever I go
I hope she doesn’t leave anytime soon
I am wistful and eccentric

We Will Rise, Together

Here is a little poem to start off the blog right!

The sun does not rise for people with shame,

The moon does not set for those who hurt others.

Because the world is not a place for children to roam free,

It is a place for adults to roam as adults,

While still remaining free.

Pretty soon the sun will never set,

Because we will have found the means to respect one another,

To be happy together,

To cry together,

Like the caged birds that sing.

We will Rise. 

Together.
